These terms and conditions govern your use of houseofsaiso.com (the Site) and any booking or purchase you make with House of Saiso Pty Ltd (ABN 66 691 484 572) (House of Saiso, we, us, our). By using the Site or making a booking, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Part A - TErms of USe
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Using the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it, interfere with its operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or copy or harvest content or data from it without our permission.
3. Enquiries, expressions of interest and mailing list
The Site lets you make general enquiries, submit expressions of interest for exhibitions, and sign up to our mailing list. Submitting an enquiry or expression of interest does not create a booking or any binding arrangement — it is a request we will respond to. Bookings are confirmed only as set out in Part B. If you join our mailing list, we will handle your details in line with our Privacy Policy, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, images, graphics, logos and the House of Saiso name and branding — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by law. You may view and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, but you must not reproduce, distribute or use our content without our prior written permission.
If you submit material to us (for example images with an expression of interest), you confirm you own it or are authorised to provide it, and you grant us permission to use it for the purpose of assessing and administering your submission.
5. Accuracy and availability
We provide information on the Site — such as event details, availability and pricing — in good faith, but it may change and may contain errors or omissions. Information on the Site is general only and is not professional advice. We do not guarantee the Site will always be available, secure or error-free, and we may suspend, withdraw or change it at any time.
6. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We provide these for convenience and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
8. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Site, and your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated terms.
Part B - BOoking & Purchase TErms
These terms apply when you book a workshop, event or space hire with House of Saiso. Bookings and payments are arranged directly with us — they are not processed through the Site.
1. Making a booking
To book, you make an enquiry or expression of interest and we will confirm availability and details. House of Saiso Accepts bookings of a minimum of 2 hours. booking is only confirmed once we have accepted it in writing and you have paid any fee we require by the due date. Until then, your place or date is not held.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. We will tell you the price and how and when to pay (for example by invoice, bank transfer or in person). Your booking is held only once we have received the required payment or deposit by the due date.You are responsible for the space during your booking. Any damage to the studio, its fixtures or equipment beyond fair wear and tear, or cleaning beyond a reasonable standard, may be invoiced to you at cost. Invoices are payable within 14 days.
3. Cancellations and refunds by you
If you cancel a confirmed workshop or event booking:
48 hours or more before the start time — you are entitled to a full refund of amounts paid; or
less than 48 hours before the start time — amounts paid are non-refundable, though we may offer a transfer to another date at our discretion and subject to availability.
Space hire bookings are governed by the separate Space Hire Agreement, which may set different cancellation terms.
4. Changes or cancellations by us
Occasionally we may need to reschedule or cancel a workshop or event — for example due to insufficient numbers or circumstances beyond our control. If we do, you may choose a transfer or credit to another date, or a full refund of amounts paid for that booking.
5. Conduct and safety
While at House of Saiso you agree to follow our reasonable directions and any safety requirements. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone behaving unsafely, unlawfully or inappropriately, without refund.
6. Photography
We sometimes photograph or film our events and the space for marketing. If you would prefer not to appear, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
7. Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. The cancellation and refund terms above apply to change-of-mind situations and are in addition to your non-excludable consumer rights. Where permitted by law, our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.
